Judith Alice Patterson Chase

On Monday, October 21st, Nana Judy was joyously reunited with her cherished grandson Christopher Chase, best friends Kathy (Ready) and George Reynolds, mother Helene, grandmother Alice, sister Jeanne, brother Larry and many more beloved friends and family as she passed from this life to the next.
Judy is the mother of Donald Chase and his wife Nancy of Derry NH, Darlene and her husband Mark Mersereau of Weymouth, MA, Dawn Chase of Brockton, MA and her baby Dyana Chase of Charlestown, MA.
Grandmother to Joshua and his wife Stephanie, John and his wife Jamie, Stephanie, Kristen and her Baby Daddy Sean, Christopher, Jake, Taylor, Lindsey, Matthew, Carly, Patrick, Kassydi, Mark and Wyatt. Great Grandmother to Emily, Madison, baby Chris, Dean and Roman.
Cherished God Mother to Lisa Reynolds and her nephew, James Zaicek, and special friend of Margie Farrell, Betty and Bob Maher, Dolly Leo, Barbara Stappen and many, many more.
Judy lived in Norwell Gardens for the past 7 years, but was always a Dot Girl in heart. She worked for several years as an Attendant Nurse at Long Island Hospital in Quincy. But her life’s work was taking care of her family and loved ones. She raised her children in South Boston and her home was the family home – hosting holidays, birthdays and many cookouts and parties. Judy was the ultimate care taker and forgiver. She opened her heart and home to anyone in need and has become honorary Nana to so many.
Family and friends are invited to join in a celebration of Judy’s life at the Casper Funeral home at 187 Dorchester Street, South Boston, MA on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute in the name of Judith Chase. Their website is https://www.dana-farber.org/how-you-can-help/ways-to-give/naming-and-funding-opportunities/and we all know that Judy would love to know that while her passing is tragic, the fight goes on for others.
